Growing up in a Christian environment can often change our view of the fact that the world is populated with people who are unsaved. America is populated with people who are unsaved. Even the church is populated with people who are unsaved, so the chance that we’ll strike up a witnessing conversation with a random person who’s another Christian is unlikely. We know that those who are unsaved are blinded to the truth of the gospel and that every man, if being honest, will proclaim his own goodness.
Proverbs 16:2
Proverbs 21:2
Knowing how to use the Law the Biblical way, to show the standard of God’s judgment and lead a person to Godly sorrow and repentance, should give us a confidence in witnessing to those around us, everywhere we go. We have the upper hand because we’re on the side of logic and truth, and as long as we stick by God’s Word and the Biblical pattern of showing sin, God’s righteous standard, and His righteous judgment, we’ve done our part.
In this evangelism video, Ray Comfort talks about God’s standard of judgment with a young man named Moses. Moses, like most, is unaware of the standard that God will judge the world by, and so he believes he’s a good person. Use this video as motivation to talk to some random person and see if they know how righteous God’s standard is, and see if they know where salvation comes from.
