Ray Comfort witnesses to a man who claims to be born again, but doesn’t quite understand his own sinfulness. He still thinks he’s a good person. Ray uses a little bit different approach in this video, including pulling out an analogy that is simple, but great. He asks the man, Chris, if God is in the trunk, back seat, passenger’s seat, or driver’s seat in his life. I like it, and I may use that this week.
So many people who think they’re saved (I used to be included in that) think that it’s okay to put God anywhere but the driver’s seat, and they’re okay. Being saved is all about turning the keys over to God, and if, one day, you find out that the keys are back in your hands, ask yourself if it’s because you gave into temptation briefly, or if you never really gave God the keys. As Christians, we’re going to sin (1 John 2:1-2), but we’re not going to consistently stay in a lifestyle of sin (1 John 2:3-6).
Thanks, Ray, for another valuable evangelism tool to put in our arsenal!
